A mattereaterlad.com entry starts with me typing away using vim into a text file. A python script then processes the file, using PyTextile to turn the contents of the file into HTML, and adds the entry to a durus database. Another set of scripts use the quixote framework to translate requests into actual web pages. Images are scaled and drop shadows are added on the fly using PIL.
Last I checked, all of the pages on this site validated as HTML 4.01 Strict. Let me know if you find a page that doesn’t.
